Pacifica School Board Election

Let's Get To Work

Meet four candidates for Pacifica School Board who are ready to roll up their sleeves and get to work: Grace Sobieski, Christopher Swiedler, Tiffany Button and Kelly Mendoza (2-year term).

Each candidate brings unique expertise and perspectives to this race.  They won’t always agree, and that’s okay. Strong governance requires listening to different viewpoints, engaging respectfully, and working through differences to find the best path forward.

They share a commitment to engaging our community, leading with transparency and accountability, and building a stable, sustainable financial future for the Pacifica School District.

Together, they will tackle our district’s challenges and shape a stronger future for Pacifica schools.

Four independent thinkers with complementary strengths, united by one belief:
it's time to get to work for Pacifica's schools.

Students First

"Pacifica has a history of excellent schools. We can build that again by fixing our finances, supporting educators, and creating schools where students excel, and families are proud to belong."

Hear and Understand

"I believe our schools are strongest when there is open dialogue, thoughtful discussion, and trust. Important decisions require more than a vote—they require meaningful conversation, careful analysis, empathy for those impacted, and clear communication about the path forward."

Tiffany Button, Candidate for Pacifica School Board Elections 2026

Strong Leadership

“Our district is facing one of the most challenging periods in its history, and I believe this is when strong leadership matters most.

Pacifica schools need accountable leaders who are willing to ask hard questions, listen with empathy, have the courage to make difficult decisions, take responsibility for the outcomes, and follow through.”

Future Focused

“We don’t serve students well by simply reacting to what’s in front of us. We need to understand the full picture, listen to perspectives beyond our own, consider the consequences of our choices, and plan for what comes next for our students. That’s how we create schools that are prepared for the future.”

Campaign Trail

"After meeting the Let’s Get To Work 26 team, I am deeply impressed by their vision for our district. These candidates are
passionate, insightful, and fully prepared to lead.
I am convinced Pacifica requires this fresh start, and I wholeheartedly endorse their mission to deliver real results for every student, family, and neighbor throughout our vibrant community."
